Do I need barcode scanners?
No. You can issue and return manually by searching titles or IDs. Barcode scanners make the workflow ~3x faster, and they're cheap — any USB scanner works.
Can students see what books are available?
Yes. The student portal has a searchable catalog with availability status, due dates, and reservation options.
Does it handle reference-only books?
Yes. Mark any book as 'reference only' to prevent issue. Overrides require librarian approval with reason logged.
What about e-books or digital resources?
Catalog digital resources with direct links. Access control by grade/class. Click-tracking available for analytics on what students actually read.
Can we import our existing catalog?
Yes. We import from Excel, CSV, or most library software exports (Koha, DestinyLibrary, etc.). Migration is part of setup — free on all paid plans.
